BETWEEN WAVES is a science-fiction dramatic feature film about a woman's pursuit to join her missing lover by crossing into a parallel dimension. Even after his presumed death, Jamie continues to be visited by her lover Isaac, a quantum physicist, who pleads for her to join him in a parallel plane. Jamie follows a map and notebook Isaac m.77mi.cc left for her and embarks on a journey to the island of São Miguel in the Açores. At the center of the Atlantic Ocean, Jamie begins to untangle the truth of what really happened the night Isaac disappeared, learning that she had a greater part in it than she cares to remember. Burdened by a police investigation back home, and in turmoil about her choice to terminate her pregnancy, Jamie is haunted by Isaac's inter-dimensional visits as he persuades her to join him. Jamie hopes to get some clarity when Isaac's former research partner, Renata, shows up on the island to help. Does Renata believe Jamie or is she just after the notebook Isaac left behind? 故事虽然打着“平行宇宙”的大旗，但骨子里只是“文艺片”。
但故事的女主，实在太过于“神经质”，把好好的文艺片又演绎得有点惊悚的感觉。
故事的结构其实很简单。
男友经过多年研发，找到了横渡平行世界的方法。
然而，在女主这个世界，男友已经挂了。
至于“挂了”是不是横渡平行世界的方法，故事没特别强调，但神叨叨的男友，确实有类似的意图。
一个深爱男友的女人，为爱伤心，可以理解。
但故事的女主，表现得非常的神经质，而且极具攻击性，让“怜惜”的成分基本降到了零。n
所以，故事越看越觉得，这只是一个神经病幻想出来的世界。
如此解释，貌似也没毛病。
人会寻找相似的背景，寄托对逝去的爱的伤痛。
这大概可以成为这部“文艺片”需要表达的遗憾。
然而，故事并不想在这方面深挖。
被奇异博士玩坏的“平行宇宙”，不知道有什么好搞的，让故事的格调一下子拉胯。n
类似这样的镜头，就能表现出“平行宇宙”？
好多神经病的电影，也是这样表现的好不好。
女主的癫狂，一点找不到“为爱”的意思，实在太奇怪。n
倒是故事的结尾，比较有趣。
女主最后“舍不得”自己的生命，这就对了。
所谓“刻骨铭心”的爱，在“死到临头”，才发现无非如此而已。
神经病好了，那些所谓的“平行宇宙”也可以放到一边。n
真正的主角，其实是旁边的这位。
他也失去了亲人，他也没搞好身边的关系。
可是，他没有像她那样“神经病”，伤痛埋藏在心里，他在等待那个永远不可能的结局，那又怎样。
记忆里头的那根刺，如果想起来会痛，那就痛吧。n
没必要浑身长刺的喧嚣，也没必要祥林嫂一样的唠叨。
